Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) was left upset by Tom King (James Chase) once again in Wednesday’s (June 12) episode of Emmerdale.
Yesterday, Tom returned home in a terrible mood after being confronted by Cain (Jeff Hordley). He had just found out that Tom had sold Belle’s car, and called him a ‘plonker’ for not selling it through his garage.
When Tom confronted Belle at Dale Head, he accused her of speaking about him behind his back. Just as he went to hit his wife, Belle revealed that she’s pregnant with his baby.
In the aftermath, it was like Tom became a completely different person – and that same “positive” behaviour continued in tonight’s episode.
In the café, a chirpy Tom got talking to Rhona (Zoe Henry), who was curious as to why he was in such a good mood.
Tom then told Rhona about Belle’s pregnancy, despite the fact he knew she wanted to keep it a secret for a little while.
It was only a matter of time before village gossiper Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) discovered Tom’s information, who then revealed it to Jimmy (Nick Miles).
When Belle arrived in the café, she was greeted with a thrilled Nicola and Jimmy. As she realised what Tom had done, Belle was left devastated.
After claiming he just got too excited and blurted out the news, Tom and Belle then paid a visit to nurse Wendy (Susan Cookson) for an appointment.
As Tom got chatting about having access to Belle’s appointment information, Wendy’s concern for her grew even more.
Wanting to get Belle alone, Wendy told Tom to leave the room, claiming she needed to get her ready for the actual appointment.
When Tom left, Wendy took the opportunity to ask Belle if everything was alright at home. Sadly, this wasn’t the moment Belle opened up about being abused by Tom. Instead, she covered and said she was upset because Tom had told everyone about the pregnancy.
The look on Wendy’s face said it all – she clearly knows something is up, but will Belle reveal what’s really going on with Tom?
