At Bill’s place, Poppy apologizes for not coming forward with the truth earlier. Bill tells her there’s nothing to apologize for… her priority has always been her daughter, “I hope, our daughter.” Luna hopes so too. Poppy says they can find out right away.
In Forrester’s design office, Katie is questioning RJ about Poppy suddenly changing her mind and saying Bill could be Luna’s father after previously telling him he wasn’t. RJ wonders if she was afraid. Just then, Li comes in and asks if they’ve seen Steffy. Katie tells her she wants to speak to her for a minute… about her sister. “Apparently, she’s claiming that Bill is Luna’s father.” Li gawps. She complains that her sister is a manipulative opportunist. Katie asks, “What are you saying?” Li says Poppy’s a golddigger. RJ protests, but Li says it’s true. “My sister is very manipulative. Don’t trust her.” Katie asks if she thinks she’s making this up. Li says yes, and she’s going to make sure it ends today. RJ tells her Poppy and Luna are at Bill’s.
In the main office, Hope, standing with Brooke, tells Ridge that his daughter has taken her issues with her too far. Steffy protests, “It’s not personal, Hope! It’s business.” Businesses have to make profits to be successful. Brooke argues that Hope For the Future is in transition. Steffy asks Carter to tell them how bad the numbers are. Carter admits, “They’re not good.” Steffy says that’s why they need to pull the line. They can’t watch this tank. The money could go toward more reliable lines. Brooke exclaims, “My God, Ridge, are you hearing this?! You have to do something!”
Carter suggests they have an official meeting about the future of Hope For the Future. Ridge agrees and so does Steffy, who asks Brooke to excuse them. Brooke hopes Ridge will handle this. She muses, “I haven’t played an important role in this company for quite some time, maybe that was a mistake. You know how I feel. You know where I stand.” With that, she leaves. Steffy doesn’t want to waste anymore time. “We need to discuss the fate of Hope For the Future.”
In the Forrester mansion, Donna paces, looks at a photo of her and her sisters and Hope, and then sighs. Eric comes in and they joke about martinis. He asks if anything happened while he was gone. Donna says Hope came in upset because Steffy threatened to cancel Hope For the Future. She is determined to save her line. Brooke comes in and Donna says she updated Eric. Brooke says they’re having a meeting about it now. Donna learns that Steffy asked her to leave before Ridge could say anything. She doesn’t know what the brunette is thinking, but she is in for a rude awakening if she thinks she can cancel the line without a fight. Eric knows the numbers haven’t been up to snuff but is taken aback that Steffy wants to cut it. Donna goes on about Brooke having contributed more to the company than Steffy ever has. Brooke’s thoughts are on Hope, who put everything into her line. “And now Steffy wants to kill it?! It’s just not right!”
At Bill’s place, he tells Luna how much he hopes the paternity test proves she’s his daughter. Luna smiles at Poppy.

At Forrester, Steffy tells Hope she’s making this personal. This is about what’s best for the company and its legacy, “But I shouldn’t expect anything less coming from a…” Hope guesses she was going to say, “Logan,” and has Carter remind Steffy how profitable Brooke’s formula and bedroom line continue to be to this day. Hope complains about the disrespect she shows her family. “It’s our influence that has made Forrester the highly successful company that it is today.” She asks Ridge if that sounds like strong leadership, or someone who has a personal vendetta against her family and her.
Hope says her mother’s contributions are invaluable, what has Steffy done? Ridge thinks they all need to take a step back. Carter says they need to make an unbiased decision about the line. Hope doesn’t see how that’s possible when Steffy is looking past the success she and her mother have brought to the company. Ridge thinks Hope For the Future is integral to the company, just as the bedroom line is. Steffy scoffs, “What? So, you’re siding with Hope and Brooke?” She shakes her head.
In the design office, Katie asks RJ how he feels about Bill possibly being Luna’s dad. RJ would be happy for his girlfriend, “But it’s Bill. Of all people, it’s Bill.” How could he not worry?” He doesn’t think Poppy is the conniving woman that Li is making her out to be.

At Bill’s place, Poppy tells Luna and Bill they just need a swab from both of them. Luna assures Bill there’s no obligations or expectations if he’s her father. Bill assures her that there is nothing he wouldn’t do or give her if the test says he’s her dad. “That makes me one hell of a lucky man.” Luna grins, “OK, let’s do it.” Just then, Li walks in and says, “Hold it right there. I know what you’re up to!”
Li heard about Poppy’s claim that Bill is Luna’s father. Poppy says she said it was a possibility, and that it’s none of Li’s business. Li argues that Bill is Kelly’s grandfather and she’s very protective of Finn’s family. Poppy says she’s no threat to Finn or his family. Li sniffs, “Tell me, why did it take you so long to tell Bill about Luna, hmm? I think you know why. He’s your M.O., right. Rich, handsome, rich.” She tells Bill that he has no idea what her sister is capable of. Poppy tells her that she has no idea what she’s talking about. Li says maybe not, but she’s going to oversee the paternity test. ‘I’m sure a licensed professional will give you all peace of mind. We want to make sure the results are accurate, don’t we?”

At the Forrester mansion, Donna tells Brooke, “Hope can’t lose her line, she just can’t.” Eric has been happy with Steffy’s work as co-CEO for a long time, but assures Brooke there are checks and balances in place. Anything she wants to do, Ridge has to agree. Brooke says there’s no way he’ll let Steffy eliminate Hope For the Future in a personal attack against her daughter.
At Forrester, Steffy reminds her father that it’s business. He knows that. “You’re right,” he tells his daughter. Turning to Hope he says, “I’m sorry, Hope For the Future isn’t performing well.” He then surprises them by adding, “But I believe in you and the team you’ve put together and I think pulling the plug is premature.” He defers to Carter, who says that they’ll wait for next quarter’s numbers and reassess then. Ridge tells Steffy and Hope that they, along with Thomas, are the future of the company. “Figure this out.” Carter and Ridge leave, and Hope tells Steffy that this was personal. She thought they could work together but she was wrong. She’s continued to attack her and vilify her family. “If you want to pretend that my family hasn’t helped make this company the huge success that it is today, you go ahead. But we’re going to prove you wrong.”
In the design office, RJ tells Katie he simply doesn’t believe that Poppy is some golddigger out to trick Bill. Katie says if she is trying to pull a fast one, she’s grateful Li is there to stop her.

At Bill’s place, Li tells Poppy that they’ll use her test instead. It’s sealed. Poppy complains she’s interrupting an intimate moment between the three of them. Li wants to be certain that Bill and Luna get the correct information. Bill interrupts, “I know your sister is coming on a bit strong.” Poppy scoffs, “She’s being disrespectful.” Bill continues on to say that she is a doctor. Poppy tells her sister this isn’t about her, it’s about Luna. Li’s there to make sure everything stays truthful. Poppy grits, “How dare you!! How dare you suggest that I would do something so devious and underhanded!” Li laughs, “Because I know you, Poppy.” She doesn’t think there’s a chance in hell that Bill is Luna’s father. “That’s why I’m doing the test.” Poppy refuses and screams at her sister to get out now! Bill says, “No.” They have nothing to hide, right? Luna doesn’t care who does the test, she just wants to know if Bill’s her father or not. Li says, “Well, then, I’ll administer the test.” She tells Bill that soon they’ll know whether he’s Luna’s father. She turns to Poppy, “Or if you’re lying.”
