There’s heartbreak ahead for Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and family when a loved one decides it’s the end of the road for their time in Emmerdale.
Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) approaches Laurel with his huge bombshell – boyfriend Nicky Miligan (Lewis Cope) wants them to pack up and leave and move as far away from his lying parents as they can.
Suni wants to appease his partner, but is torn over what he’d be giving up, having been abandoned by his own dad but taken in by his new family Laurel and Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson).
He confides this plan to leave in Laurel, who is crushed to learn Suni might be moving away.
She begs him to rethink – he’d leave a huge gaping whole in the family if he chooses to exit.
This gives Suni food for thought, but Nicky is determined that they leave for a fresh start – with his mum Ruby Fox-Miligan’s (Beth Cordingly) involvement in Ethan Anderson’s (Emile John) hit and run just prior to his untimely death, Nicky wants to distance himself.
But there’s something on the horizon that may make Suni’s mind up for him – the truth about Jai’s torture of Amit and the truth about why he owns all the shares in the HOP.
Pollard’s (Chris Chittell) behaviour towards Jai tips Laurel off that something is going on between them. She witnesses a tense exchange, and then later is thrown when Pollard refuses to pay for his drinks and rudely suggests Laurel take it up with Jai.
Confused about what’s going on and a suspicion in her nose, she heads off to confront her husband.
With Jai already on a knife edge with guilt, he realises he’s being backed into a corner and the truth is moments away from being spilled.
Is this just the reason Suni needs to leave the Dales and never look back?
