Jai Sharma (played by Chris Bisson) is set to be confronted by wife Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) in upcoming scenes ofΒ Emmerdale.
Jai has spent months being blackmailed by Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) over how he forced Amit Sharma (Anil Goutam) out of the village.
After forcing Amit to admit that he killed Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel), Jai made Amit cut his son Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon out of the ownership of the HOP and then leave the village without saying goodbye.
This was Jaiβs ultimate revenge for Amit betraying and killing his brother, however, he got more than he bargained for when Eric threatened to expose his lies about Amitβs departure.
In scenes set to air next week, Laurel notices tension between Jai and Eric, although Jai manages to hide his anger about the situation.

Later, Suni turns to Laurel for advice about how to handle his situation with Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope), who wants to leave the village as soon as possible.
Laurel, who has no idea about what Jai has done, tells Suni that his brother would be devastated if he were to leave now. She also reminds him of the importance of compromise in a healthy relationship.
Suniβs conversation with Laurel leaves him thinking, but will Nicky be able to convince him to leave the village? Meanwhile, Laurelβs suspicions about Eric grow when he neglects to pay for his drinks and sends her to speak to Jai about it.
Afterwards, Laurel arrives at Mulberry Cottage and questions Jai about Ericβs attitude. Jai feels the net closing in, but will he admit the truth to his wife?

Earlier this year, Chris Bisson discussed the return of Jaiβs dark side after he took revenge on Amit.
The 48-year-old said: β[This] has changed something inside him and going forward the way he views life and people and relationships may well be affected. Certainly, the way he treats business will probably be affected too.
The soap star added: βI think he is going to become a bit more ruthless. He feels he has been taken for a bit of a fool and he feels like that is never going to happen again. So yes, maybe Bad Jai is back!β
