Ruby Fox-Miligan’s (Beth Cordingly) guilt is increasing tenfold in Emmerdale.
A few weeks ago, after learning that Ethan (Emile John) was responsible for putting Nicky (Lewis Cope) in a coma, Ruby decided to get revenge.
It involved Ruby giving Ethan a taste of his own medicine. Nicky’s hospitalisation only happened because Ethan crashed his car – so Ruby decided to injure the lawyer by driving Caleb’s (William Ash) vehicle right at him.
While Ruby was satisfied with the injuries Ethan sustained, she absolutely didn’t expect him to collapse and die days after.
Now the gravity and the guilt of the situation has set in for Ruby – her vengeful actions have taken a life. Whatever her level of anger towards Ethan, she hadn’t intended to kill. Even for Ruby, murder is one step too far.
In this new video, as Charles chats to Charity (Emma Atkins) about the upcoming funeral and wake, Ruby arrives and quietly listens into their conversation.
Charles mentions how if there was some type of warning about his son dying – and then uses the example of him being unwell – he might feel different about organising the aftermath.
As Charles talks about how it ‘wasn’t Ethan’s time to go’, Ruby’s guilt increases, with the vicar being completely unaware the person somewhat responsible for his son’s death is sitting right beside him.
In scenes that air after this clip, Ruby will vow to turn herself into the police, and as she breaks down in tears, a reluctant Nicky consoles her.
She then heads over to Woodbine to continue her support of Charles, where he gives her news that makes her heart stop – the coroner has established a cause of death for Ethan.
Is this the moment Ruby’s future is revealed?
Will she go to prison for Ethan’s death?
