Dawn Taylorβs (Olivia Bromley) birth mum Rose Jackson (Christine Tremeco) arrived back in the village on a mission β not to reconnect with her long lost daughter as was her cover, but to carry out Ruby Fox-Miliganβs (Beth Cordingly) dirty work.
Ruby had locked Rose in by paying off her debts, and now Rose must act like her pawn and destroy Kim (Claire King).
Though Rose tried to back out of the plan, Ruby swiftly reminded her of her financial situation and Rose realised she had no choice but to proceed. But it doesnβt seem like itβs been much of a hardship for her thus far.
The plan: For Rose to sleepΒ with Will (Dean Andrews) and rip the family apart.
Sheβs been well and truly getting her feet under the table and under Kimβs skin at Home Farm, helping herself to Kimβs good booze, making herself invaluable as the family navigates Evanβs leukaemia diagnosis.
There was one blip when Rose offered Dawn sleeping pills and felt the instant wrath of Will, but with Dawn defiant about her mum sticking around, Rose won that round and continued to win Will round.
As far as unscrupulous Rose is concerned, things are going swimmingly.Β Kim, on the other hand, is slowly becomingΒ blinded by rage. But being so anti-Rose is starting to drive a wedge between her and the family.
Rose has successfullyΒ made herself Kimβs worst nightmareΒ by becoming a thorn in her side and always being around when Kim wants private time with her family and husband.
The worst thing for Kim is that though she is the Lady of the Manor, she can do nothing to get rid of her husbandβs ex. And Rose knows it.
A smug Rose reports back to Ruby that their plan is working perfectly. Will Will play right into her hands and end up in her bed?
